Ms. Potter is an experienced senior health care executive and
management consultant with Board Certification in both Healthcare
Administration and Financial Management. She has worked in a variety of
private practice and hospital settings within an administrative role
since 1979. Areas of professional focus have included the integration
of strategic planning and goals into policy and program development,
physician compensation and benefit programs. She has extensive
experience in establishing organizational and individual accountability
with effective staff training and monitoring policies. She understands
that diversity is enhanced and supported by matching individual
strengths and team strengths to your business strategy. She recognizes
effective management is the difference between success and failure at
both the organizational and individual level.
Resonance Leadership
I n her administrative role she maintains direct responsibility
for all
aspects of financial management, human resources, information
management, operations, planning and marketing, practice risk
management and consults with physicians on compensation plans and
practice governance within the organizations she oversees. She has
firsthand knowledge of documentation requirements, compliance with
federal and state laws and the necessary processes required
to
successfully meet the needs of the organization. She focuses on
protecting and promoting fairness, empowerment and equality in the
workplace to increase confidence and productivity by listening and
matching her leadership style to the organization’s culture. Her
leadership methodology is to create a cultural alignment with specific
strategic goals to inspire wanted outcomes.
Extensive Knowledge and Community Involvement with
other Health Care Stakeholders
She is active with many of the Universities in
Houston either as a
board member, curriculum advisor or speaker for undergraduate, graduate
or physician business classes in all areas of practice management. Ms.
Potter has served as an expert witness for the Attorney General of the
State of Texas and also has experience in assisting with the research
and preparation of economic impact studies.
